Please read the following conditions to see who is eligible to apply for our awards. Make sure you understand these requirements because if your website does not meet our requirements, it will be automatically disqualified. The requirements are as follows:

  • Applicants must be the Owner/Web Master of the site they submit.
  • Applicants who apply for this award must be at least 14 and above to comply with (C.O.P.P.A).
  • Your Website must contain at least 5 quality content pages (example: links & guest books are not considered content pages).
  • Your Website must be hosted on your own domain, not on a free web server. (example: www.mysite.com)
  • Your Website cannot be a forum site only.
  • Your Website must be in English. (To ensure the content type).
  • Your Website should not require your visitors to login, or register in order to access your main areas.
  • Your Website should not have any broken links.
  • Your Website shall not have more than one pop up advertisement, more than that your site will be disqualified.
  • Your Website cannot contain or link to pornography, obscenity, violence or any other content that might harm or offend the user’s integrity.
  • Your Website cannot be copied, use templates or use totally or partially the work of other designers without permission or credits.
  • Your Website cannot be under construction nor have more than 1 section with no content.
  • Your Website must respect legal responsibilities and copyrights.
  • Applicants must provide a site ID when filling out their applications. Your Site ID is the first letter of your "First name", "Last name", "Site name" and then the submission date "MMDDYY". (example: FLS030405)
  • Applicants who are eligible to apply for an award must provide this special quote when they submit any sites for review. This is to make sure that all applicants read thru our criteria & understand the award program’s requirements. The quote is “Design Excellence”. If you fail to provide the quote in your application, your site will be automatically disqualified.
